Kogi Governor Appoints 12 New Permanent Secretaries to Strengthen Public Service

Kogi State, Nigeria — Governor Ahmed Ododo of Kogi State has approved the appointment of 12 new Permanent Secretaries in the state’s public service. This move aims to fill existing vacancies and represent their respective constituencies, ensuring broad-based representation and effective governance.

The announcement was made in a statement by the Head of Service, Mr. Elijah Evinemi. The Governor emphasized that the appointments were made with a focus on merit, fairness, and justice, ensuring that qualified individuals are placed in these critical roles.

The newly appointed Permanent Secretaries are:

  • Momoh Aziz Steven, representing Ajaokuta LGA
  • Negedu Muhammed Bala, from Ankpa 1 Constituency
  • Haruna Jibo Muhammed, for BASSA LGA
  • Ejigbo Akoji, serving Dekina-Biraidu Constituency
  • Enimola Enimola, from Kabba-Bunu LGA
  • Fashoba Ayo-Sunday, representing Mopa-Amuro LGA
  • Adurodija Ebenezer, for Ogori-Magongo LGA
  • Enehe Dorcas Omeneke, serving Okehi LGA
  • Sanni Haruna Muhammed, from Okene 1 Constituency
  • Ochu Philips Omeiza, representing Okene 11 Constituency
  • Shaibu Danjuma Fabian, for Olamaboro LGA
  • Baiyegunsi Taiwo, serving S. Yagba-East LGA

In his congratulatory message, Mr. Evinemi urged the new Permanent Secretaries to perform their duties with utmost loyalty, dedication, and integrity. He emphasized the importance of meeting the expectations placed upon them as they step into their new roles.

The appointments are expected to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Kogi State public service, with each Permanent Secretary bringing their expertise and commitment to their respective areas of responsibility.

This development comes amid various political activities in the state, with recent support and jubilation from both Diri and Uzodimma supporters over recent Supreme Court victories and APC calls for unity with Governor Ododo.
