EgyptAir Urges Nigerian Travel Agents to Promote Egypt as a Key Tourism Destination

Amr Basha, the Egyptian Air Country Manager, has appealed to Nigerian travel agents to promote Egypt as a prime travel destination actively, emphasizing its diverse offerings for various types of tourists. This call was made during a strategic engagement session held with travel agents in Nigeria.

Affordable Packages for All Travelers

Basha outlined EgyptAir’s commitment to affordability, noting that the airline provides packages tailored to fun seekers, medical tourists, and those interested in Egypt’s rich history and art. “As our travel agents, please promote Egypt as a diverse travel destination, offering something for every type of traveller, including beach resorts, medical tourism, historical sites, and art,” he stated.

In partnership with Elite Tours, its General Sales Agent (GSA), EgyptAir is rolling out tour packages designed to meet the needs of a wide range of customers.

Highlighting Value and Service Excellence

Faith Obazee, EgyptAir’s Sales Executive, elaborated on the airline’s value proposition, fleet capabilities, and global connectivity through codeshare agreements and interline partnerships. She also highlighted the benefits of the airline’s frequent flyer programs and shared updates on new routes and destinations.

Mohammed Afifi, the Station Manager, addressed traveler concerns, particularly the need for a Yellow Fever Card for passengers flying to Egypt or transiting for over 12 hours. He reiterated the airline’s commitment to health and safety, a core focus for its passengers.

Top Tourist Attractions and Adventure Options

Basha spotlighted some of Egypt’s top tourist destinations, including:

  • Dream Resort in Sharm El Sheikh
  • Pyramids of Giza
  • Scenic Aswan and Hurghada
    He also encouraged travelers to explore adventure options such as boat cruises and quad biking, emphasizing Egypt’s versatility as a tourism destination.

Recognizing Excellence

The event concluded with awards presented to top-performing travel agents for the 2023/2024 period, recognizing their contributions to boosting EgyptAir’s sales and services.

Basha appreciated the vital role of Nigerian travel agents, calling their partnership “central to the airline’s growth and success in the Nigerian market.”

EgyptAir’s renewed focus on strategic partnerships and customer-centric travel solutions is expected to strengthen its position as a leading carrier in the region.
