Kebbi Gov’s Aide Suspended for Bringing Snake to Government House

Birnin Kebbi – The Kebbi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the immediate suspension of Kabir Sani-Giant, Special Adviser to Governor Nasir Idris on Power and Politics, over allegations of misconduct.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the APC State Secretary, Alhaji Sa’idu Muhammad-Kimba, confirmed that Sani-Giant was suspended for allegedly bringing a snake to the Government House on February 8, 2025, an act that reportedly intimidated dignitaries, statesmen, and government officials.

The statement emphasized that Sani-Giant’s conduct was considered embarrassing and damaging to the party’s reputation.

“His actions are a clear violation of the APC constitution and could bring the party into disrepute. The party has, therefore, decided to suspend him immediately,” Muhammad-Kimba stated.

He further noted that the suspension would remain in effect pending further investigations and potential disciplinary action, which could lead to expulsion if a similar incident occurs.

Sani-Giant has yet to respond to the allegations or the decision by the APC.
