New York, NY – June 10, 2025 – The high-stakes sex trafficking trial of music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs intensified today as his defense lawyers began their anticipated cross-examination of a key prosecution witness, identified only by the pseudonym “Jane.” For three agonizing days, Jane has detailed allegations of drug-fueled sexual encounters with escorts that she claims Combs pressured her into, an account the defense maintains was consensual.
Jane, who dated Combs from early 2021 until his arrest, has provided jurors with graphic testimony, asserting that 90 percent of their time together revolved around “days-long sex parties.” During these parties, she claims Combs directed her to engage in sex with male escorts while he watched, despite her expressing feelings of being “sleazy” and “disgusted.”
Her testimony culminated in a harrowing account of a violent altercation with Combs in June 2024. This incident occurred when Combs was already under federal investigation, his homes raided, and the infamous security footage of him assaulting ex-girlfriend Casandra Ventura publicly released. Jane described an argument escalating into a physical fight, during which she says Combs put her in a chokehold, kicked down doors, and later subjected her to a brutal beating that left her with a black eye and “golf-ball” sized welts.
Following the alleged assault, Jane testified that Combs instructed her to ice her injuries and prepare for a “hotel night” with him and another man. Through tears, she recounted how Combs allegedly gave her ecstasy and demanded she have sex with the man. When she protested, she claims he forcefully asked, “Then is this coercion?” Jane ultimately complied, feeling “like I wasn’t even in my own body.”
Throughout her testimony, Jane consistently stated her longing for a traditional romantic relationship with Combs, highlighting the stark contrast with the lifestyle she alleges he imposed. She also revealed that Combs paid her rent at the time and continues to fund her legal costs, a detail the defense is expected to scrutinize.
The witness’s testimony resonated with the civil lawsuit filed by Casandra Ventura in 2023, which triggered the federal investigation into Combs. Jane told jurors she “almost fainted” upon reading Ventura’s account, messaging Combs that it mirrored her own “sexual trauma” word for word.
Jane further testified that after weeks of back-and-forth, Combs called her a “con artist” and allegedly threatened to expose sexually explicit videos to the father of her child. She had previously stated feeling “obligated” to participate in “hotel nights” for “fear of losing the roof over my head” that Combs was providing.
Despite the alleged abuse and coercion, Jane stated she has no plans to file a civil suit against Combs, telling jurors, “I just pray for his continued healing, and I pray for peace for him.”
Combs, 55, faces a potential life sentence if convicted of racketeering and sex trafficking. Jane’s story was not in the original indictment but was added after she received a subpoena to testify before a grand jury in November 2024 and began speaking with prosecutors in January of this year. She also testified that she informed Combs’s defense team about the summer 2024 brawl before speaking to prosecutors, feeling “obligated” to meet them “due to my relationship.”
The Manhattan federal trial is expected to continue for several more weeks, with the defense now aiming to challenge Jane’s credibility and the narrative of coercion presented by the prosecution.
