Community-based organisations, religious leaders, and local government officials have reportedly stepped up voter education campaigns, encouraging eligible residents to register ahead of upcoming polls.
CVR to End in August 2026
The Continuous Voter Registration exercise, which commenced on August 18, 2025, is expected to run until August 2026, giving eligible Nigerians ample time to enrol before the next general electoral cycle.
Since the start of the exercise, states in the South-West particularly Osun and Lagos have consistently maintained strong participation rates, while improved outreach efforts continue to boost turnout in other regions.
INEC is expected to release periodic updates as the nationwide registration continues.
