In a heartfelt gesture aimed at easing the burden on the families of police officers who have been either killed or injured in the line of duty, the Kano State Commissioner of Police, Salman Garba, presented cheques totaling N83,102,207.38 to 45 beneficiaries on Tuesday evening. This assistance is part of the ongoing efforts to support the welfare of police personnel and their families.

The statement, issued by the Command’s spokesman, SP Abdullahi Haruna, emphasized that the cheques are a transparent demonstration of the Inspector-General of Police’s (IGP) commitment to the well-being of officers and their immediate families. The beneficiaries include the next of kin of deceased officers and victims of police-related accidents, who expressed their gratitude for the timely assistance. The money was hailed as an invaluable resource, arriving at a time of great need.
