KATSINA, May 5, 2025 — The Katsina State Police Command has successfully foiled a kidnapping attempt in Faskari Local Government Area (LGA) and recovered one AK-47 rifle and a motorcycle during a joint operation on Friday.

According to a statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abubakar Sadiq, the incident occurred on May 2, 2025, when suspected armed bandits attacked Abu Iro, a 23-year-old male from Faskari LGA. The attackers inflicted a deep machete wound on his head while attempting to kidnap him.
