President Tinubu Mourns the Passing of Former Lagos State Chief Judge, Justice Ibitola Adebisi Sotuminu

President Bola Tinubu has expressed profound sorrow over the death of Justice Ibitola Adebisi Sotuminu, the former Chief Judge of Lagos State, who passed away at the age of 86.

In a statement released on Wednesday, signed by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President extended heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of the late jurist. President Tinubu also sympathized with prominent legal bodies, including the Body of Benchers, the Nigerian Bar Association, the National Council of Women’s Societies, and the International Federation of Women Lawyers.

Justice Sotuminu’s passing marks the loss of a distinguished legal mind who made significant contributions to the judiciary in Lagos State and beyond. Her legacy will be remembered by many who worked alongside her in the pursuit of justice and legal reform.
