President Tinubu to Mark 73rd Birthday with Special Prayers for National Unity

Abuja – President Bola Tinubu will commemorate his 73rd birthday on Saturday with a special prayer session at the National Mosque in Abuja on Friday, focusing on peace, unity, and national progress.

In a statement released on Thursday, Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, said the prayer session will also serve as an opportunity for the President to thank God for the strength to lead the nation.

“On this important day, the President will dedicate himself to spiritual reflection and prayer for Nigeria’s continued peace, progress, and prosperity,” the statement read.

The prayer event coincides with the holy month of Ramadan and comes as the Tinubu administration approaches its second anniversary.

A Call for Collective Prayer

President Tinubu has encouraged Nigerians to join in prayer from their homes or places of worship, emphasizing the power of collective spiritual reflection to foster national healing and growth.

“I am deeply grateful to Allah for the gift of life and the privilege to serve this nation,” the President said. “As we approach our second anniversary, I call on all citizens to pray for divine guidance, unity, and the continued progress of our beloved country.”

The President expressed appreciation for the support and goodwill of Nigerians as his administration works to implement economic reforms, enhance national security, and expand opportunities for all citizens.

Commitment to a Stronger Nigeria

Reaffirming his commitment to democratic values, economic recovery, and national unity, Tinubu urged Nigerians to remain hopeful and resilient.

“Together, we will overcome challenges and build a nation where every citizen thrives,” he said, highlighting his vision of Nigeria as a beacon of hope for Africa.

The special prayer session is expected to draw government officials, religious leaders, and citizens, reflecting a unified commitment to nation-building and spiritual renewal.
