Social Media Critic Accuses FCT Minister of Restricting Protesters

Abuja — Martin Otse, known online as VeryDarkMan, has accused Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, of attempting to restrict the #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protesters to the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.

VeryDarkMan made the allegations just before police used teargas on protesters at the Berger Roundabout on Friday. He argued that protesters should not be confined to the stadium, noting that they are not athletes like Victor Osimhen or Jay Jay Okocha.

He also called on President Bola Tinubu to address the protesters’ grievances directly and warned against violence, stating he would personally hand over any protesters involved in violent activities to the police.

The nationwide protest, which began on Thursday, aims to address issues of hunger and poor governance across the country.
