Tino Anjorin has finalized a permanent move to Serie A side Empoli, marking the end of his long-standing association with Chelsea Football Club. The transfer was officially confirmed on Thursday via a statement on Chelsea’s website.
Anjorin’s journey with Chelsea began at the tender age of six, when he first joined the club’s youth setup at Cobham. Officially signing as an under-9, he rose through the ranks of Chelsea’s Academy, showcasing his talent and dedication.
In November 2018, Anjorin signed his first professional contract with Chelsea, and by the 2019/20 season, he had progressed to the Under-21 squad. That season proved to be a breakthrough for the young midfielder, as he made his senior debut in a match against Grimsby Town, followed by his Premier League debut against Everton. Anjorin also played a pivotal role in helping the Under-21s secure the Premier League Two title.
The following season saw Anjorin make his Champions League debut and earn his first full Premier League start. He later embarked on several loan spells to gain more experience.
In their farewell message, Chelsea Football Club expressed gratitude for Anjorin’s contributions, stating, “We would like to thank Tino for all his efforts while at the club and wish him well as he begins the next chapter in his career.”
Anjorin now looks forward to a new challenge in Serie A, where he will continue his development and career with Empoli.
