Former spokesperson for Atiku Abubakar’s Presidential Campaign, Daniel Bwala, has affirmed that only President Bola Tinubu has the authority to determine the fate of his ministers amidst ongoing speculation about a cabinet reshuffle. This confirmation comes after the Presidency indicated that changes to the cabinet are forthcoming, validating earlier reports of an imminent shakeup.
Speaking on Channels Television, Bwala stated that any claims about specific ministerial changes are mere guesses. He emphasized the president’s prerogative in assessing ministerial performance, underscoring that only Tinubu knows who will remain or be replaced.
The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, confirmed the planned reshuffle but did not provide a specific timeline, indicating it would be based on public opinion and ministerial performance since Tinubu took office.
Meanwhile, Bwala addressed rumors regarding the vacant position of Presidential Spokesperson, previously held by Ajuri Ngelale, stating he had no knowledge of being considered for the role and urging citizens to support the government in various ways.
As the nation awaits the president’s final decisions, the current list of ministers in Tinubu’s cabinet includes key figures across various sectors, from agriculture to defense, with significant roles outlined for each minister.
